There is an “I,” and a “we.” A cohesive group can provide you with the validation and support you need to make changes in your life. “Change happens the moment you do something different”

— Heather Everett, LMFT

Therapy for women in California

The body never lies, but many people feel disconnected from their bodies and spirits. They’re “in their heads,” but they don’t know how to feel attuned to their core selves. Mind-body healing in therapy integrates somatic exercises, body awareness, and talk therapy intended to help you feel grounded in yourself. The mind and body are not separate from one another. Traditional talk therapy often focuses on healing the mind but does not address the body. It’s important to feel your way through rather than solely try to think your way out.

Mind-Body Healing

BRIEF, STRATEGIC THERAPY

Strategic therapy entails meeting via weekly, goal-oriented sessions. In this work, we will discover the tools and coping skills that can offer you immediate relief. This approach is skills-based, and we’ll focus on achieving positive change through therapeutic techniques that best resonate with you. If you have a specific goal you want to achieve or you’re in a moment of crisis, this may be the right option for your care.

ONGOING THERAPY

This kind of therapy is also goal-oriented, but the process is more fluid and can last several months to over a year. Think of it as an ongoing process just like going to the gym- therapy is a continuous way you can feel supported and fill your emotional cup. We may work through chronic, long-standing issues or spend time deeply acknowledging the healing that’s already taken place. Having this container of space allows us to address what’s coming up on a deeper and more consistent level.
